Ifakara hosts NEST360° Health Facility Assessment Training

Ifakara Health Institute hosts the NEST360° project's Health Facility Assessment Training at the Institute's Mikocheni Main Conference Room in Dar es Salaam.

The training, held for four days (October 13-16, 2020), is conducted ahead of the implementation of the New-born Essential Solutions and Technologies (NEST) program study at selected health facilities in Tanzania.

The NEST360° project is evaluating maternal and child health programs and feeding business models to deliver a solution by deploying NEST, a bundle of New-born Essential Solutions and Technologies.

The project has identified four gaps which currently prevent system wide change against which we have mapped four targeted solutions which together comprise NEST: lack of technology, human resources, implementation, and market.

To address these barriers the project aims to deploy NEST: a bundle of New-born Essential Solutions and Technologies designed to prevent and treat the leading causes of new born deaths in Africa. NEST technologies are designed in partnership with African hospital to be effective, affordable and rugged. #
